Wow, I can't believe Jacie is already 4. Seems like just yesterday we were sitting across from each other in birthing classes wondering what we were in for.....if only we had known!!! I hope Jacie has a wonderful day today, wish we could be there

Dr. appt update
So nothing to update today from the doctor appointment. I chose to not have him do an internal exam, so he just listened with the doppler and measured me, oh, and of course the weigh in. Only 1 pound gained in 2 weeks, and that was over Christmas, so I'll eat a big dessert tonight at dinner! lol So I go back next Friday for the same thing. All his paperwork is in at Progress West, so he said he will let me know as soon as he hears something. If I go in to labor before I hear from him, then we just head to St. Johns. Hopefully everything will go through before then so we can just go up the street.
My sisters are here to watch the kids tonight so Aaron and I can go out to eat for our anniversary. So much has happened: 2 houses, 2 cars, 3 kids..... It has been a busy 5 years. But it really couldn't have been any better. I can only hope the next 5 are even half as good to us.

Not too much to update right now, but thought I'd at least let you know so that you didn't start thinking I was in the hospital or something like that!! lol I have been having contractions here and there, but nothing substantial. Yesterday the kids and I stayed at home and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned...we had to find room for all of these new toys. So Turner's room is now the toy room, all toys are cleared out of Mackenzie's room. It should work nicely since we have the crib in Mackenzie's room. This way the kids won't have to worry about not being able to get to their toys while the baby is sleeping. So now I need to take more toys downstairs and try to get that under control..... oh it never ends. Some how I don't think I'll have a problem staying busy every day of this maternity leave! It is hard because on one hand I want to relax every day until I have the baby, but on the other I feel like every day could be my last without baby and so I want to get as much done now as possible. So, with my luck, I'll keep trekking on at 150%, and then the one day I decide to stay home and take it easy, I'll go in to labor :) Today I got my hair done and got belly shots taken. I tell ya, only being able to see the top of my stomach is a blessing, because the bottom half is absolutely disgusting. I don't know if the stretch marks just got worse this time, or if they were really that bad last time and I just blocked the trauma from my memory, but at least the TOP of my belly still looks pretty!
Tomorrow is our 5 year anniversary. My sister is coming up to babysit so that Aaron and I can go out for dinner. It will be nice to get away for a few hours to be husband and wife. Hopefully I'll be able to get in a little nap before we head out so I don't turn in to a zombie at 8 o'clock. I also have my doctor appointment in the morning at 9:45. Not sure if they will do an internal check or not. At the last visit I told doc that I didn't want an internal check, because it didn't really mean anything anyways. I mean he can tell me I'm not dilated at all, and I could still go into labor that night, or he could tell I'm 3-4 and I could walk around like that for another 2-3 weeks. But I think it is driving everyone else crazy not to know something, so I figure if he wants to do one I'll let him, but if not, I'm not going to ask for one. So I probably won't have much of an update tomorrow, but you never know.
For anyone who does want to see the belly pics, hopefully this link will work, but trust me, they aren't much to see... https://www.searsphotos.com/?shareid=S205956831l23E8M753RU

Santa Clause is coming to town
Last night we went over to Aaron's cousin's new house for dinner and cookie decorating. We had a Great time and I Love their new house! I was in bed by 11 - jealous aren't you - I guess with my worry of not even being sure I would be here or up to it, I was all caught up on wrapping. The kids came in about 7 this morning - lucky again.
Well, Santa made it to our house and left so much stuff. On the top of the list for gifts this year, the bouncer ranks high!! Turner likes the rocking horse, car garage, and his new chair. Mackenzie likes all her new baby stuff. My mom got them both horse sticks, which they ride around all over the house. Aaron loves having his wireless back in the living room, and I got some great clothes for after baby and a new coat I really wanted. It's about 5 o'clock at night on Christmas now, and we are all still in our PJs, just been playing with all of our new toys all day and got a nap. Don't worry, showers are coming soon. After all the years of traveling to multiple places on Christmas day, it is a nice change to not have anywhere to go. It gives the kids a chance to really enjoy everything that they got.
Pregnancy wise I've been exhausted today. I'm trying to get the house back in some sense of control from all the madness today, but haven't been all that successful. Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

Weekend update
So that is just a quick update on the weekend. I just wanted to start this blog as a way to keep connected to the outside world while I'm on maternity leave, and to keep everyone updated on the latest with the pregnancy and baby. This will gove you the option to check in as much as you would like. I'll try to update as much as I can. Hope that you enjoy!!!
So this weekend was busy, but fun and very productive. Saturday morning we took off and headed toward my family. We stopped and saw Grandma D, who looks like she was run over by a reindeer! She has two black, well more green now, and two broken fingers from a fall about a week ago. While there we also got to visit with Grandpy and Allen and family. It was a nice visit, very relaxing. About 3 we left and went up to the hospital to visit Granddad. He looked really good, and was cracking the jokes just like normal. Nannan seemd to be doing well too. Hopefully the testing will be able to be completed soon and they will be able to do the back injection so that he can get home soon and know what all we are up against. Next we drove to mom's for dinner. All of us kids were there together which hasn't happened in a long time. We had a great time all together. Finally we made it home..... Got up today and went to church, then came home, took a nap, set up Mackenzie/baby room, got the bathrooms all cleaned, packed the kids bags for when I have the baby.....well, just got a lot accomplished around the house.
I've been doing fine pregnancy wise. Having contractions on a fairly normal level, but nothing that has made me think it was the real thing. We have everything ready here at home to bring home the baby, I just need to pack my bag and figure out which hospital we are delivering at. It is very weird to know that Christmas is almost here since that was the last thing that was to happend before we have the baby. Just puts in perspective that it truley is right around the corner. I give us no more than 2 more weeks.
